When I first came to the salon my scalp was so bad and sensitive that I couldn’t get a relaxer and so pressing was for me. My scalp and hair were dry. I learned that I had female pattern baldness, which is also a form of alopecia. After I started receiving the therapeutic treatments for my hair and scalp, my hair started growing back and now I am able to receive relaxers again. After the trichologist checked my scalp, she recommended I also see my physician about some body imbalances she pointed out to me. When I talk to my physician, he told me that I also had a medical disorder that I should watch out for. I received a hair doctor and stylist that would treat my hair and scalp, but this is great that a Hair Doctor is able to help me with a health alternative that affects my hair.  Thanks for helping me.

My hair is a nice texture, most people would say, but it was hard for me to find someone that wouldn’t break it off with relaxers and cheap hair products.  When my last stylist had pulled my hair, when she was styling it, I knew I needed some one that would keep it on my head, treat my hair, and style it too. I thank GOD for her, my hair is healthier and I always get a nice style.

I work at the Dept.  Of Treasury.  I came to the salon because I was having a scalp disorder of itchy scalp, burning, bleeding bumps and very sensitive to the touch.  After receiving the therapeutic treatments, my scalp disorder has been corrected. The correction is because I continue to go. I believed her when my scalp felt better within that same week.  The treatments were made for my disorder.  It was a must that I kept this hair service in my budget.  I couldn’t understand why a stylist could not help me with this problem, but I now understand that there is a field in hair styling call Trichology and some stylist say they treat hair when they don’t.  If you were looking for a stylist and someone that will treat your hair, I would tell you to come and check it out for yourself. But it is important to do what she says for your hair to become healthy and it is a must that you keep going back.

Before I come to the salon, I was having extensive hair loss. I had gone to several dermatologists before I found Jackie the Trichologist. The doctors pretty much told me that it was probably due to a hormonal imbalance.  Blood tests proved that hormones were partially the cause. I was given prescriptions and sent on my way. I said, “They are the doctors, and you can help my hair.” One of the doctors even told me to use Rogaine to grow my hair, but that it was going to come out when I stopped using it. I learned from the Internet that a trichologist treats the hair and scalp. I also have heard many other stylists say they treat healthy hair, but it seems like they are just using conditioner. So I called because I want more than just a shampoo and conditioner. I was very impressed by the consultation and the knowledge she gave me; I knew that she was different than the other stylist I had gone to. She wasn’t so quick to put a relaxer on my hair; she set me up with a treatment program instead. When I left the salon you would think that I had gotten a relaxer, my husband definitely thought I did. One of the most important things is my hair stopped breaking and people are starting to say my hair looks good again. If you have a hormone problem and don’t know what to do I think you should call. What do you have to lose? This could be the answer to your problems too.
