Is my hair long enough for extensions or hair replacement?
There are so many different types of hair extensions today that you can have two systems in one that are designed to fit your needs. For hair extensions only, your natural hair will need to be long enough and healthy enough to take a braid or cornrow. This normally means approximately 1.5” of growth. There are always exceptions however, and hair texture is an important factor in which exceptions can be made. Curly hair is easier to braid and more likely to keep a braid than bone straight hair.

Are hair extensions comfortable?
YES they are! When applied properly, extensions can look like your natural hair. You will not experience discomfort while sleeping if done correctly.  If they are causing pain over 8 to 12 hours you could be at risk for hair loss. You will be able to comb, brush, and shampoo your hair with extensions just as you would your natural hair. What happens as my hair grows out?
After the initial application, the extensions will need to be “tightened” every 6-8 weeks, depending on how quickly your natural hair grows. The grade of hair we have chosen for your style, will determine the amount of hair extension or replacement needed with every tightening. The highest quality hair extensions may only require replacement after a period of a year, whereas lower grades may require some minimal replacement with every tightening.

Will hair extensions damage my hair?
When extensions are done properly, they actually are one of the safest and best ways to put your hair to rest and to grow it out.  We use a protected system with the cornrow or braids. Your hair is safe from the everyday stresses of harsh combing/brushing, chemical processes, and other potentially harmful procedures.
